We’re here to help you get the most out of Vizspect™.
Have a question, found a bug, want to request a feature, or want to join the beta? We’d love to hear from you.
A Windows 11 machine with Microsoft Visio installed, and a supported AI assistant (such as Claude or Codex). Vizspect™ runs locally and attaches to your live Visio session.
No. Vizspect™ runs on your machine and talks to your own copy of Visio. Your documents are never uploaded to us. Note that your conversation with your AI assistant is handled by that assistant’s provider — see our Privacy Policy.
Vizspect™ works with assistants that support the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — including Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cowork, and Codex, in both their CLI and desktop forms. The installer can register Vizspect with Claude Code and Codex for you; other MCP clients connect with a URL.
The ChatGPT app is not supported at this time. (Note that OpenAI’s Codex coding agent is supported — it’s the consumer ChatGPT app that can’t drive a local MCP server like Vizspect.)
Yes. Vizspect™ re-reads the current state of the figure before every change, and destructive edits require explicit confirmation, so your hand edits aren’t silently overwritten. We don’t recommend editing a figure at the same moment the assistant is working on it, though — Visio is single-threaded, so it’s best to take turns: let the assistant finish its step, then make your changes (or vice versa).
Vizspect™ is in private beta for patent practitioners. Pricing for the general release will be announced before launch. Email us to request access.
